The reason most new year’s resolutions only last a few weeks is because they are too unrealistic.

Why not simply make one new year’s resolution that lasts forever…a lifelong resolution for a new you?

A Resolution we can all share…

…to improve the health of our body

Here’s a mantra to hear yourself saying many times – “this year I will improve the health of my body”

That means that you need to:

Eat Healthy

Prioritise Time For Relaxation

Get To Know Your Body With Greater Awareness

Exercise – (including cardio, strength and suppleness)

Personally, I eat very healthy, exercise well and am conscious of how I use my body in daily life. However, I know areas were I can improve so I am prepared to step it up a gear. Here is my personal health mantra:

“This year I will prioritise time for relaxation, I will relax after eating and I am going to indulge in more periods of fasting”.

Your lifestyle maybe different to mine and you will have different goals but it doesn’t matter. Whatever your current starting point, whatever your focus…it’s time to raise your game.

Take a look at your overall lifestyle and see what’s missing.
Do any of these statements resonate?

  • I work on strength and flexibility with my Pilates class but never raise my heart rate. I am going to start sprint fitness.
  • I am fit and strong but my muscles are too tight…I need to work on suppleness.
  • I eat pretty well and exercise 3 times a week but I don’t allow time for relaxation. I am going to practice mindful relaxation techniques.
  • I am supple, strong and fit but I need to work on my nutrition…too much sugar, bread and alcohol. They all need reducing.
  • I eat and exercise well but I forget it all when at work and find myself slouching. It’s time to connect with my body posture while at work.

These statements are quite common, but it is yours?  Once you take a good look at your nutrition, fitness and lifestyle you will discover where balance is needed. Identify any imbalances and follow along with appropriate videos on the blog pages.
