As a Pilates teacher I get asked all the time “what is the best exercise to tone my abdomen“? Well the answer to this question does not lie in any particular exercise. There are dozens of exercises we can do to tone the abs, but before all that, we need to take a look at our posture.
Many people don’t have low toned abs, they simply have a compressed body.
Let’s face it, most of us spend way to much time seated. And sitting for any length of time soon ends up as a slouch. This reduces our breath capacity, can quickly lead to back ache and pushes the abdomen out.
I would like to share with you a simple exercise that combines breath and movement. Once you have completed just a few of these you will feel an immediate difference.
