Although formal exercise has many benefits, these are only truly activated when you move mindfully and gracefully in daily life.
In terms of exercise, good movement in daily life might be the most important aspect of the Restore Your Body Programme (full explanation notes here).
According to many recent studies, sitting for prolonged periods is detrimental to your health.
And that’s even if you go to the gym everyday. (See link below for detailed info).

However, sitting well is only part of the picture. How you lift things, squat, reach, bend and glide through life is equally as important.
Let’s get that right too.
If you use good body mechanics throughout everyday activities, you can:
- Raise body awareness
- Reduce tension
- Heal injuries
- Prevent new injuries
- Increase tone
- Increase flexibility
- Live longer (see link below)
