At the age of 10, my main introduction to movement was from a mixed martial art called TE AT SU. For the last 35 years, the physical and mental conditioning have been a significant and positive influence to me.

If you ever take a class/private session with me, be it Pilates, yoga or fitness you will see and feel the martial way:

dedication to body – presence of mind – respect for self

I feel comfortable saying that these qualities offer me a sense of grace and integrity to my life, teachings and parenting.

Even though I have not been to my dojo for several months (due to family/work commitments and a host of injuries), the feeling remains and the honour within continues. So until I get back to TE AT SU, an aqua bag in the garden will have to do!

My online presence is to inspire you to (as Judith Aston would say)…

…be in your best body

Please let this and my other videos/audios/blogs help you to continually develop an appreciation for and a dedication to your body.

Take care

Thanks Danny

Links for equipment purchase:

Cheapest option, buy a pair of gloves and have a friend hold focus pads for you – link here
Best option, buy a water filled punch bag – 12″ Aqua Punching Bag
For this size aqua bag, I don’t feel you need to buy the extra chain. Simply buy a 2m cam-buckle tie down such as this one
You can then easily adjust the height for knee strikes and kicks. You may find that you only need to half fill the bag with water.
You will also need a thick branch or strong rafters in your garage!
Sample pair of gloves
For more padding, buy boxing gloves

As always, you might have to part watch/part join in for the first few times.
With subsequent plays of this video, really focus on your body and not the screen.
